Our Fees
The Functional Gut Centre uses a multimodal approach of evidence-based tools to alleviate the symptoms of functional gut disorders, including gut-directed hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and nutrition. Research has shown that improvement from functional disorders using these techniques requires a minimum of 6 sessions.
For this reason, it is recommended that patients have a minimum of 6 sessions to benefit from all three therapy modalities. Additional sessions are welcomed and a full plan for your treatment will be discussed with you by your therapist at the end of your first session. Please note that some individuals may need more than 6 sessions depending on the severity of their symptoms. Individuals are welcome to pay session by session or for the package all at once for a discounted price.
Fees
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) suggests a standard fee of $311 for a 60 minute appointment. Our fees reflect the specialised and multidisciplinary service we provide.

Medicare Rebate
Medicate rebates are not available for gut hypnotherapy services in Australia currently.
Private Health Cover
Private health funds often provide rebates for hypnotherapy but these will vary according to your health fund and level of cover. We recommend you contact your insurer for more information.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations or rescheduling of appointments require two business day’s notice. Fees may apply for cancellations made within two business days prior to your appointment.
Cancellation Fees
Less than one business day's notice incurs the full fee.
One to two business days' notice incurs 50% of the full fee.
